About Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering started its commendable journey in 2001. With excellent infrastructure and full-fledged faculty, the department has always been in the path of rapid progress, making it one of the premier departments of Amal Jyothi. The department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India till 2023. The course contents are intended to give the students a holistic and pragmatic view of the present scenario of the Electronics and Communication industry as well as a grounding in the concepts and theories that will shape the future of the industry. With highly sophisticated labs backed by industrial tie-ups, the department offers a plethora of opportunities for excellence of the students and faculty.

About the STTP

The Objective of Engineering Education is to equip the students with skills needed for the smooth functioning of the society. Now-a- days with the increase in the number of centres for Engineering Education, we seem to drift away from the actual ideology. The NBA accreditation focuses on this concept. The aim of the accreditation process is to bring out the best in students by monitoring them constantly by assessing their activities and giving them feedback by measuring their activities right from the time of joining the course to completion. The measurement of outcome continues even after the student leaves the college to ensure that the declared program outcomes have been effectively imparted to the students. In this course we design a system to ensure that the programme is suitably designed and imparted to get the maximum outcome from the students. A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of implementing education by faculty. Our education system is undergoing a change as announced by the Higher Education Council of India and the National Research Foundation through the NEP. This STTP is focused on making the faculty empowered for an outcome-based education with new pedagogical approaches to convert research projects to products and thus bring out the best in students. An Introduction to Outcome Based learning and the methods to achieve the Program Outcomes is presented by eminent and experienced resource persons. The phase 1 of this STTP focuses on the understanding and attainment of all the Program Outcomes as defined by NBA. The entire objective of the STTP will be covered in the subsequent phases.

The STTP is organized in 3 phases
Phase 1 focuses on Program Outcomes of Engineering Graduates
Phase 2 focuses on The need for Accreditation in Colleges
Phase 3 focuses on Modern Tool Usage in Education and Assessment
