National Service Scheme (NSS)
The Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. The philosophy of the NSS is well reflected in this motto, which underlines the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society on the whole and therefore, the NSS volunteers shall strive for the well-being of the society. NSS helps the students develop appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration to 'other living beings.’
M.G University sanctioned one unit of national service scheme to our College. This is the first NSS unit sanctioned by the University to a self-financing engineering college. Now we have two NSS units under the Technical Cell of the University of the KTU with a strength of 200 volunteers. The NSS units of our college play an active role in shaping our students as humane and responsible citizens. The overall aim of the NSS is the personality development of students through service to the community. We conduct of seven-day special camping programmes in adopted places which provide unique opportunities to the students for group living, collective experience sharing, sharing responsibilities, addressing various developmental issues of regional and national importance and constant interaction with the community.

Red Ribbon Club
Mainstreaming of HIV & AIDS and ensuring safe blood are major activities to control the spread of HIV & AIDS in the country. Of the 1 billion youth (ages 15-24) worldwide, some 10 million are living with HIV. At an estimate 6,000 youth are infected with the virus every day. Out of 2.47 million estimated population infected by HIV in India, 88.7% are in the age group of 15-49 years. In view of this, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India has proposed to establish a network with universities and other educational institutions to generate awareness regarding HIV & AIDS and to promote voluntary blood donation to ensure safe blood and implement preventive programmes on HIV & AIDS.
Red Ribbon Club Programme (RRCP) is a comprehensive promotional and preventive intervention to enhance voluntary blood donation as well as mainstream HIV & AIDS prevention, care & support and treatment impact, mitigation and stigma reduction among the youth in educational institutions. It will also prepare and promote youth peer educators within and outside the campuses. An active RED RIBBON CLUB is functioning in Amal Jyothi College of Engineering.
The activities of RED RIBBON CLUB include
-> Blood Donation -> Blood Group Identification Camps -> HIV Awareness Programmes
Nature Club
World Wide Fund for Nature – India’s (WWF-INDIA’s) mission is the promotion of nature conservation and environmental protection as the foundation for sustainable and equitable development.
Nature Club is a group of people who can spread conservation awareness in the society. Since a Club represents the collective will of its members, it can generate conservation awareness in a most effective manner. But such activities must be organized in an outstanding manner to be effective.
