Our vision is to become a globally competent department in the area of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and to provide high quality education and training with emphasis on student-centered learning and scholarly activities thereby transforming the students into disciplined, talented citizens of impeccable character, fused with hands on training to make them readily employable, serving the society, industry and the nation with moral and societal responsibilities and ethics.
Mission
The Mission of the Department is to become the pioneering department in the country in the areas of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering for teaching, research, and consultancy. We will emphasize learning and applying metallurgical and materials engineering fundamentals and offer students opportunities to sharpen basic engineering skills for problem-solving, communications skills, both oral and written, pre-professional research experiences and carry out quality research of national global relevance and lifelong learning. We will also strive to provide highest quality technical support and knowledge to industries.
